Associate Attorney
Brendan D. Gonzalez is an associate attorney at Porter Law Group. His practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on business litigation, construction, employment law, and real estate disputes. He brings a wide range of legal experience to the firm, having represented clients across numerous industries, from contractors to mortgage servicers to hospitals to large commercial retailers.
Brendan’s approach to litigation begins with identifying the best path to resolving his clients’ unique issues and challenges. He excels at identifying potential risks, benefits, and both intended and unintended consequences of a given issue. He is able to confidently advise clients with the goal of empowering them to make business decisions based on a comprehensive understanding of their available options.
Outside of work, Brendan enjoys traveling, playing basketball, spending quality time with friends and family, and following professional sports. Having grown up in the Sacramento area, he is an avid (and long-suffering) Kings fan.
Relevant Experience
Before joining Porter Law Group, Brendan honed a multifaceted skill set through years of hands-on litigation experience. He has successfully handled hundreds of cases in a diverse array of legal fields, including employment, financial services, lender liability, personal injury, construction defect, professional liability, and business and commercial litigation. Through this experience, Brendan developed valuable knowledge and insight into every aspect of litigation, from preliminary investigations to trial preparation and every step in between.
Brendan is admitted to practice law before all California state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Central, and Northern Districts of California.
Education
Brendan received his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Davis School of Law, with a Business Law Concentration.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
